Current Opportunity:
Right now, we are´ seeking a Group Senior Product Owner – Payments to join our Group Payments & KYC team in Prague. Reporting to our Group Payments & KYC Manager, you would be the domain expert with deep business knowledge, market/competitors understanding and elementary knowledge of software development process. The main goal of the Senior Product Owner is to drive ROI and customer satisfaction with the product. Senior Product Owner is defining what and why should be done with the product.
The Senior Product Owner defines product vision, manages stakeholders and serves as the main contact for the product. Senior Product Owner works with customer feedback and data insights.
The Senior Product Owner acts as a customer representative and voice within development, taking active role in PI Planning and other related SAFE ceremonies. It is her/his responsibility to ensure reasonable balance between business and technology development requests in the best interest of customers. Is the ultimate backlog owner.
Works closely with development team and acts as one of 3 roles within agile leadership team (cooperates with Team Lead and Scrum Master).
Is expected that one will take active role in PO community and will help with education and provide the assistance to Junior Product Owners including onboarding and other activities to ensure sharing experience and best practices within Product.
What You’ll Be Doing:
The main responsibilities are to:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Backlog Management: Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is clear and valuable.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with technology team, payment providers, UX designers and country representatives to ensure successful product delivery and launches.
- User and Market Research: Conduct market and user research to inform product decisions and identify new opportunities.
- Requirement Definition: Translate business needs and user feedback into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and other requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate product risks and dependencies across teams.
- Performance and Customer Satisfaction Monitoring: Monitor product performance and use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement and iteration.
- Leadership, Mentoring and Process Improvement: Guide and mentor junior product owners, drive continuous improvement in the product development process and help set the overall product direction.
What We’re Looking For:
You should have experience in:
- University degree
- Proficiency in written and verbal English
- 5+ years experience in payments
- 5+ years experience in product owner / product manager role
- Successful delivery of project/product with over 1000MDs
- Product management, product development and project management skills
- Merchant payment ecosystem knowledge
- Overview of trends and best practices in payments
- Experience in mobile/web development
- Active communication including calls, read docs, write specs
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Advanced analytical skills (and ability to effectively use it in practice)
- Experience in agile methodologies
Preferred:
- Knowledge of betting/gaming industry
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS
- Knowledge of web analytics and web design
