ComAp is recognised as a world’s leading provider of control solutions for distributed power sources, aligning with the latest market developments and industry trends and You will be part of a team responsible for providing solutions for gas engines and combined heat and power (CHP) applications.
As a Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for both the strategic development and daily management of a product. You’ll act as a bridge between customers, the market, and our R&D team. Working closely with colleagues from ComAp, distributors, and customers, you’ll define product specifications, business models, and support successful product launches. The role includes regular, also face-to-face, contact with customers and partners. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys a diverse, non-stereotypical work environment and is eager to stay on top of technology trends. Don’t worry — we’ll teach you everything you need at the start.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
- Manage product life cycle (planning of upgrades, reaction to the market situation, succession plans, solving issues with product availability, product launch etc.)
- Monitor the market, competition and new trends in the specific market segments (mainly via our Business Development Managers)
- Ensure revenue and costs for the product lines, in line with the product strategy
- Prepare benchmark of the competitors´ commercial offerings
- Manage stock levels based on long term plans and the relative benefits/costs of stock and stock-out
What makes you a great fit:
- A technical secondary school diploma / University degree in the field of mechanical engineering (or electrical engineering) is preferred
- Interest in new trends and technologies
- Consider yourself as a great communicator with a strong analytical mind
- Also show passion, drive and result orientation in complex tasks
- Have the ability to work independently and also to liaise with colleagues across the whole company
- Are interested in short travels – once per month, usually 3-4 days (exhibitions, conferences, customers, suppliers)
- Are tempted to use English on a daily basis
- Familiarity with Grid codes or Power Factory is an advantage
